Appearances - ( To see our schedule please click on our Calendar )
Our presentations of 'Simon & Betsy Kenton' and 'Squire & Jane Boone' have been thoroughly researched and documented, and are presented in a Chautauqua-like manner. We feel that the use of first person portrayals is a wonderful tool in bringing history alive for young and old alike.
My wife Nancy and I have been living historians of the 18th century for over 30 years, and we have been doing first person presentations of Simon and Betsy Kenton, and also more recently, of Squire and Jane Boone, Daniel Boone's younger brother.
We have performed at Fort Boonesborough, the Blue Licks Battlefield State Park, Constitution Square State Park in Danville, Ky., the Long Run Massacre reenactment by the Painted Stone Settlers in Shelbyville, Ky., Mansker’s Station in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, the Spirit of Vincennes Rendezvous in Vincennes, In., the Fair at New Boston at George Rogers Clark Park in Springfield, Ohio for the GRCHA, at the Heritage Center of Clark County in Springfield, Ohio, and also at numerous schools, libraries, genealogical societies, historical societies, and museums across the Country.
We invite you to contact us for our presentation at your event, group, or community function for a trip back to life in the early frontier, listening to the tales of what life was really like for the settlers and frontiersmen in the 'Middle Ground'.
