"The Simon & Betsy Kenton Presentation"
At the age of 16, Simon Kenton fled his home in Fauquier Co., Virginia, believing he had killed a man in a fight. He headed toward the land known as the 'middle ground'. His uncle Thomas Kenton had told him many stories about this wondrous land. Simon soon became famous among his own peers in the western frontier known as Kan-Tuc-Kee. Simon Kenton was truly 'a man on his own hook.'
Well researched and backed with historical data this presentation talks of the man so well known on the frontier, but later was almost passed over by history. The Rumpings have been performing as the Kenton's for over six years.
Listen to Mike & Nancy Rumping as they portray Simon and Elizabeth (Betsy) Kenton in the later years of Simon's life. Please click on the 'KENTON' button below to hear a portion of our "Simon Kenton Presentation"
